Dear Bookworms:

Just yesterday I was mentioning that I hoped to have a new cover soon for The Month of Zephram Mondays.

Imagine my surprise and excitement to find out this morning that my friend and artist Kecia Crowl had it ready to go!

Here it is:

I can't wait to hear what you think! She perfectly captured the gray stone of the walled Zephram capital city that I've always had in my mind. And I love the silhouettes of the Royal Quadruplets set against the darkening sky and land after their escape.

Right now the Kindle version is updating, and eventually the cover will change on all of the versions.  After that we'll be working on a new cover for The Tale of Time Warp Tuesday

It's as if Christmas came early!

I wanted to share some updates for The Zephram Tales!

Both books are now available in iTunes via  links to the right.

Within the next few weeks I am excited to be able to share a brand new cover for  The Month of Zephram Mondays. I think you'll really like it. First I'm going to change it on the kindle version and then change the print edition and other ebook versions after that.  I can't wait to introduce the new artwork.

Happy Reading!

Just wanted to share a new review for The Month of Zephram Mondays on Nayu's Reading Corner.

Tuesday, August 28, 2012

I was just checking my emails when I saw that my author interview on popular blog 'I am a Reader, not a Writer' just went live. Check it out here.  While there you can enter to win a copy of both books in the Zephram series.

Many thanks to Kathy for featuring me (and the books) today!

I'm taking some time to clean out the house prior to school starting; boy, do I hate cleaning. If I had a penny for every item in our house, we'd be billionaires!  How did it get this way?

This means, as much as it hurts me, that I have to step away from the writing and marketing of my titles ... but hopefully I'll return to it all in a much better frame of mind.

The one thing I did take time to do was meet  Kecia (my friend and artist) for lunch today.
We had a nice visit (although I did get a parking ticket -- apparently 9  quarters wasn't enough for the meter -- I returned to the car at 1:36 and the ticket was issued at 1:34! AAARRRG!!!)

Kecia is going to design a new cover for the ebook version of The Month of Zephram Mondays.  I can't wait to see what she comes up with. I'll post it here and you can let me know what you think of it.

In the meantime, I hear the boxes we're taking to Goodwill calling my name (and some of the trash bags as well). Enjoy the last minutes of summer!

I'm multi-tasking today while watching the Olympics ... don't know how effective I'll be but I'm giving it the old college try.

As we hear many authors grumble, marketing  books is often harder and more time consuming than writing them. I've just spent a couple of hours trying to set up some Goodreads and Google ads. I'm sure that it's probably user error that made it take so long ... but sometimes I feel that I don't accomplish anything!  Before that I was completing some Q&As for interviewers for the Zephram books. Hopefully all this activity will continue the positive buzz and movement for Zephram and the manners books.

Hope you're enjoying  the Olympics!

Happy Summer Vacation!

While enjoying Hilton Head Island with family, I've also spent some time putting a Tabletop Tipsters ebook onto Smashwords so that it will be available on Barnes and Noble, Apple, Sony, Kobo and more. Just waiting to find out if any changes need to be made to it to make it available for the Premium catalog.

I've also been reading: Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness and The Archers of Avalon series by Chelsea Fine.  I do love my Kindle. It is definitely addicting!

Off to the beach,

Hello.
Just a quick update.  Busy spreading the word about The Tale of Time Warp Tuesday. It's so true when they say that the writing the book is only part of the story!

I'm trying to figure out the next social media ... some people have suggested that I let the Royal Quadruplets have their own twitter accounts or blog.  It's a great idea, but I'm a little afraid of what Ned might do on them! I'll keep you posted on what we all decide!

Hope you're enjoying some great books this summer.
Happy Reading,

Leslie

Hello, Readers. I've been busy trying to start spreading the word about the newest Zephram Tale, The Tale of Time Warp Tuesday. First of all, I've developed a new website that I am slowly starting to populate. You can check it out at www.zephramtales.com. I've also been filling out the listings on Shelfari, adding characters, a ridiculously simple synopsis, glossaries, etc., for both The Month of Zephram Mondays and The Tale of Time Warp Tuesday. (Sometimes these things are slow going, especially after a long day at work.) Check them out and let me know what you think! As soon as the print version of Time Warp Tuesday is up at Amazon I'll be filling out Goodreads and offering a giveaway. I'll let you know when it's up in case you'd like to enter. Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to reading Changeling, by Philippa Gregory. Looks like a fun read, right up my YA Fantasy alley! Happy Reading, everyone! Leslie

Happy Memorial Day Weekend, Bookworms!

It has been awhile since my last post but I am excited to let you know that The Tale of Time Warp Tuesday is now available!

It went live yesterday as a Kindle ebook and should be live on Amazon as a paperback within the next few days.

The Tale of Time Warp Tuesday is the second book in The Zephram Tales series (The Month of Zephram Mondays was the first). It is a tween-aged fantasy set in the magical land of Zephram. Our heroes are the non-magical Royal Quadruplets of Zephram:  Tom, Lizzie, Ned and Nell. This book continues their story as this time they work to figure out why everyone else in Zephram keeps repeating the same day while they don't.

Two other books are in the works for 2012 -- a manners-themed book and another magical book that this time takes place outside present day Philadelphia. It will be a busy summer and fall!

I've squeezed some time in to read the latest Kane Chronical (The serpent's shadow) and all of the Need series by Carrie Jones.  I also read two series by indy author Clare Farrell -- I would definitely suggest checking them all out!

Have an enjoyable three day weekend!
